The golf course was top-notch and kept me entertained for hours on end. And when I wasn’t on the green, I could easily keep up with my laundry thanks to the on-site facilities.
Families will love the kids’ club and fitness center, while the terrace and garden offer plenty of space to relax and soak up the sunshine.
As for dining options, we had our pick of four restaurants, each offering unique and delicious cuisine.
And our room? It was nothing short of amazing. Equipped with a balcony, air-conditioning, a coffee machine, fridge, dishwasher, and safety deposit box, we had everything we needed and then some.
The room service made our stay even more comfortable.
The free parking and bike hire were a huge bonus, and we loved that the resort was just 1.7 miles from Playa del Barranco de Erques.

I had the pleasure of escaping to Las Terrazas de Abama Suites, one of the most luxurious resorts in Tenerife.
The outdoor pool overlooking the sea was the perfect spot to soak in the warm sun rays, while the four other swimming pools offered a refreshing dip.
The kids’ club kept the little ones entertained, allowing their parents to enjoy a game of tennis on the on-site court, making it one of the best things to do in Tenerife with kids.
Room service was available whenever we wanted to indulge in some delicious food, and our room was equipped with a kitchen and dining area.
We also enjoyed the stunning views of La Gomera and the Teide Volcano from our terrace. Inside, we had all the comforts of home with air-conditioning, a living space with a flat-screen TV, and a refrigerator and kettle.
To top it all off, we dined at Melvin Restaurant, and the food was divine. Las Terrazas de Abama is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a luxurious stay in Tenerife.
5. Kora Nivaria Beach – Abades
The Kora Nivaria Beach Club & Hotel has been my home away from home on my recent getaway to Tenerife.
Located only 300 metres from Abades Beach, this hotel is the perfect destination for beach bums and water sports enthusiasts alike.
The facilities here are top-notch, boasting an incredible infinity pool, state-of-the-art fitness centre, and full-day security for peace of mind.
I stayed in one of their apartments with a terrace and sea view, which also came equipped with a fully stocked kitchen including a dishwasher and oven.
To top it all off, you can also find yoga classes, snorkelling, windsurfing, and even massage services on the premises!
There are also plenty of top nightclubs in Tenerife that can be reachable from this hotel as well, so dancing the night away is also a choice.
It’s no surprise that the Kora Nivaria Beach Club & Hotel has been voted the best hotel in Tenerife, and I can’t wait to come back and stay here again!
6. Hollywood Mirage – Excel Hotels & Resorts – Los Cristianos
When I’m trying to escape the daily grind and unwind somewhere warm with stunning views, I often find myself looking for hotels in Tenerife, and one of the best places to stay I’ve come across is Hollywood Mirage – Excel Hotels & Resorts.
With its sea view from the balcony, refreshing outdoor swimming pool and convenient shuttle service to the city centre, this hotel ticks all the boxes for me.
I love relaxing on the terrace with a drink from the bar, and the buffet breakfast each morning means I’m fuelled up for a day exploring things to do in South Tenerife.
Even better, there’s a fitness center where I can stay active, while the kids’ club and games room keep the little ones entertained.
I’ve even indulged in the sauna and enjoyed the evening entertainment! If you’re after a relaxed, comfortable stay in Tenerife, this hotel is definitely one to consider.
7. Gara Suites Golf & Spa – Playa de las Americas
I have to say, if you’re looking for one of the best Tenerife holidays, then the Gara Suites Golf & Spa should definitely be on your radar.
Not only is there an amazing spa and wellness centre on site, but there’s also an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness centre, making it the perfect spot for those who want to relax and get active at the same time.
And if you’re a fan of all things green, then you’ll love the beautiful garden that surrounds the hotel.
But perhaps what impressed me the most was the buffet breakfast on offer – I’ve never seen so many delicious options in one place!
And if you need to explore the island, the hotel also offers car hire services.
But for those who prefer to stay on-site, there’s a games room complete with table tennis and a water park to cool off on those hot Tenerife days.
Oh, and did I mention the rooms? They’re spacious and come with terraces, perfect for enjoying a drink as the sun sets, and flat-screen TVs for those nights in.
Trust me, you won’t be disappointed with the Gara Suites Golf & Spa, which has one of the best water parks in Tenerife.
8. Hotel Tigaiga – Puerto de la Cruz
As soon as I stepped into Hotel Tigaiga in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife, I was blown away by the intricate beauty of the surrounding tropical gardens.
The superb breakfast spread added the perfect touch to the hotel’s comfortable and soundproof rooms, each with a spectacular private balcony and gorgeous sea or mountain views to wake up to every morning.
The outdoor swimming pool, sauna, and table tennis reminded me that I didn’t have to leave the Puerto de la Cruz accommodation for fun recreational activities.
But if I wanted to venture out, the hotel’s prime location next to Taoro Park and hiking trails provided endless opportunities for things to do in Puerto de la Cruz.
And with two restaurants on the premises and private parking available, I could indulge in the local cuisine without worrying about transportation.
I don’t know where to stay in Tenerife in winter, but from my experience, Hotel Tigaiga is top on my list.
Plus, with an airport shuttle readily available, my stress-free vacation started right from the moment I landed.
9. Santa Barbara Golf and Ocean Club – San Miguel de Abona
My stay at the Santa Barbara Golf and Ocean Club was absolutely phenomenal.
The hotel is nestled in one of the most popular areas in Tenerife, which is great because there is so much to see and do nearby.
The facilities are top-notch and you can really tell that every aspect of the hotel was crafted with care.

One of the best hotels in Tenerife on the beach that I’ve had the pleasure of staying at is the Hotel Panoramica Garden.
With its heated freshwater pool, extensive gardens, and apartments boasting sea or mountain views, it’s the perfect oasis for any traveler.
What’s even better is the free shuttle to Puerto de la Cruz, making it easy to explore the surrounding area.
The apartments themselves are spacious and come equipped with a balcony, living-dining area, private bathroom, and well-equipped kitchenette.
And when it comes to dining options, the buffet restaurant and bar will satisfy any craving.
With a games room on-site, there’s always something to do. What I loved most, though, was the hotel’s location – just 400 metres from the Atlantic Ocean and other beaches that are within a five-minute drive.
If you’re looking for a relaxing yet adventurous stay in Tenerife, Hotel Panoramica Garden is the place to be.
11. Beverly Hills Suites – Excel Hotels & Resorts – Los Cristianos
My recent trip to Tenerife was made even better by my stay at the Beverly Hills Suites.

The three swimming pools, air conditioning, and evening entertainment ensure that you’ll never be bored, and the family rooms have plenty of space for everyone to rest and relax in comfort.

I’ve found the perfect place to stay in Tenerife, even in the winter! Hotel Adonis Plaza has everything you could need for a comfortable and convenient stay.
The private parking makes it easy to explore the island without worrying about finding a spot for your car. And, if you want to bring your furry friend along, pets are allowed!
The breakfast is absolutely fabulous, offering a wide variety of options to start your day off right.
The city and sea views from the rooms are breathtaking and unforgettable. Plus, with air conditioning, you’ll always feel comfortable.
The hotel is located near Plaza de España, where you’ll find plenty of shops, bars, and cafés just a 5-minute walk away.
And, if you’re looking for things to do in Santa Cruz, Tenerife, the nearest beaches are less than 1.2 mi away and the the Auditorio De Tenerife is worth checking.
I couldn’t recommend Hotel Adonis Plaza more for your winter stay in Tenerife!

I recently stayed at the Paloma Beach Apartments in Tenerife and I must say, it was a luxurious experience.
The apartments provided a private balcony with a breathtaking view of the sea. The rooms were equipped with a flat-screen satellite TV, a spacious dining area, a well-equipped kitchenette, and a private bathroom.
Free parking was accessible and the airport shuttle service made travel convenient.
The pool area was a delight, with a hot tub and a heated swimming pool providing the perfect atmosphere for relaxation.
Additionally, the poolside snack bar was a perfect place to grab a quick bite and the selection of bars and restaurants within the hotel left nothing to be desired.
The currency exchange and car hire services provided by the hotel were an added bonus, not to mention the best beaches in South Tenerife are just a stone’s throw away from the hotel.
Overall, I would highly recommend staying at this luxury hotel in Tenerife as everything from the amenities to the view was exceptional.
