If you’re looking for the best view of this resort town while passing through some of the best attractions in Lake Geneva, consider booking a tour on a scenic cruise around Lake Geneva where you can see the picturesque shoreline and natural landmarks from afar.

Cruising through Lake Geneva is one of the city’s best highlights, and there are some boat tours that you can choose depending on your preference.

If you’re looking for fun things to do in Lake Geneva in June, try to explore the water recreation beyond swimming, as the state park also allows people to do waterfront activities like canoeing or kayaking around the lake and Ceylon Lagoon.

3. Explore Historic Downtown Lake Geneva

Lake Geneva’s history dates back to the 1800s, when the area grew popular as the favorite weekend getaway destination for wealthy Chicagoans.

Because of this, the rich Chicagoans built their vacation homes around Geneva Lake, which have become prominent sightseeing spots around Lake Geneva downtown.

Looking for some unique and fun things in Lake Geneva downtown? Join this Lake Geneva Ghost Walk to learn more about the city’s urban legend and history around the area!

You can also spend quality time with your beloved in one of the many Lake Geneva resorts for couples!

If you plan to stay somewhere close to Geneva Lake, I recommend booking the Garden Suite or Martini Suite in Riviera.

Both are centrally located, and they’re only a 5-minute walk from Riviera Beach – the adjacent waterfront that offers various things to do in Lake Geneva in June!

Look no further if you’re looking for the best attractions near Lake Geneva.

You can explore the 21-mile scenic walking trail along the shoreline while admiring the architecture of historic estates in the city.

Strolling through the Geneva Lake Shore Path is a must-do in Lake Geneva, and you can easily explore the trail independently.

You can purchase a self-guided audio tour to learn more about this historic shoreline while enjoying the beautiful lake views from afar.

For the best experience, I recommend exploring this scenic shoreline during sunset.

This area makes a great day out in the warm season, as you can access public beaches along the trail in the summer!

5. Go shopping

Lake Geneva is home to several antique shops and galleries worth visiting.

However, if you have limited time for shopping, consider two of my favorite shops: Gallery 223 and Delaney Street Mercantile.

Gallery 223 is a great place to go if you want to support regional artists from Wisconsin. The shop sells various art pieces suitable for gifts, from paintings to jewelry!

Situated on Main Street, visit the best antiquity shop in Lake Geneva: Delaney Street Mercantile

If Gallery 223 focuses more on selling goods from Wisconsinite artists, Delaney Street specializes in imported European artworks.

Here, you can find anything from Portuguese jewelry to Venetian glass pens!

6. Tour the Black Point Estate & Gardens

To make the most of your visit to Lake Geneva, you must add Black Point Estate to your itinerary.

This excursion combines two of the best things to do in Lake Geneva in June: the scenic boat ride and exploring the historic mansion dating back to the late 19th century.

Built in 1888 for a Chicago beer mogul, Conrad Seipp, the Black Point Estate offers so much more than just exploring one of the finest summer retreats in the Midwest.

During the summer, you can book special tours and events at Black Point Estate to enhance your experience around one of the best lakes in Wisconsin

From regular tours and beer tastings to paranormal tours, Black Point Estate is one of the best things to do in Lake Geneva in June!

All the tours to Black Point Estate start with the meeting point at Riviera Pier, and you will get on a picturesque boat ride through Geneva Lake for 40 minutes before reaching the mansion.

Then you can take a guided tour of the estate while enjoying the elegant architecture and beautiful garden overlooking Lake Geneva.

7. Outdoor Adventure at Lake Geneva Canopy Tours

As one of the best lake towns in Wisconsin, Lake Geneva is an amazing destination for outdoor enthusiasts.

In addition to the lake and the shoreline, there are so many fun things to do around Lake Geneva if you want to enjoy the scenic nature near the city!

Lake Geneva Ziplines & Adventures is open all year round and offers thrilling outdoor activities, from hiking to tower climbing.

It also has some child-friendly activities, making it a great option if you’re traveling to Lake Geneva with your family.

After all that excitement, recharge and further immerse yourself in nature by staying in some of the best lake cabins in Wisconsin.

8. Golfing

One could argue that signing up for a golf course is one of the best things to do in Lake Geneva in July, as there’s no better time to do it than the peak of summer in Wisconsin!

A lot of resorts in Lake Geneva offer golf courses in addition to other facilities like spas and lodging, so if golf is something that piques your interest, you can easily book your accommodations at some of the best Lake Geneva resorts for families – like Grand Geneva Resort or Geneva National Resort

While you don’t have to be a guest at both resorts to book a tee time, Geneva National Resort has a “Stay & Play” package that allows you to take advantage of the golf facilities without paying extra.

9. Wine Tasting at Local Vineyards

Wisconsin is probably best known for its beers and breweries, but the Badger State is also home to some of the best scenic vineyards with some good wines.

Several wineries in Lake Geneva are worth visiting, even though the vineyards aren’t big – but their wine selections are certainly some of the best in Wisconsin!

Studio Winery is a must-visit in Lake Geneva, and no romantic getaways in Lake Geneva is complete without making a stop at Studio for wine tasting.

It’s one of the best things to do in Lake Geneva in June, as summer is the only time the winery is open for wine tasting five days a week.

The best part is that reservation is only necessary if you’re visiting in a large group!

10. Attend Lake Geneva’s Annual Events

The golf course isn’t the only reason why Geneva National Resort is a great place to stay in Lake Geneva, WI.

The resort also annually hosts the Food & Wine Festival in June – making it one of the best summer attractions in Lake Geneva!

Destination Geneva National Food & Wine Festival is a four-day event held at two different venues: Geneva National and The Ridge Hotel

Each event has a specific theme, which you can choose based on your preference.

Alternatively, you can also purchase a Vintners Passport to access all festival events and a complimentary glass and welcome bag for each guest!
