Nothing beats the lakefront cabins for rent in Wisconsin and with a private deck, I’m confident this cabin is just what you’re looking for.

The Peterson Bay Chalet is a four-season property in the heart of the Northwoods of Wisconsin, located on the East shore of Lake Metonga.

It is conveniently situated near Crandon, a charming town with restaurants, antique shops, and a historical museum.

The lakefront chalet offers a variety of activities, including paddle boats, bikes, kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, and row boats.

A 14ft. fishing boat with a 20HP motor is available for rent, and dockage is available for those bringing their own boat.

Wildlife viewing is abundant, with eagles and a family of loons serenading guests. A campfire and smores are also available for a relaxing end to the day.

With four bedrooms and two bathrooms, the cabin comfortably sleeps six, making it ideal for a family vacation.

The amenities, including a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy fireplace, and a barbecue grill, made our stay incredibly enjoyable.

I absolutely adored the spacious outdoor area, perfect for the pets and evening gatherings, being one of the best cabins to stay in Wisconsin.

Plus, the washer and additional basement space with a futon ensures you’ll have all the comforts of home.

You know me, I’m all about finding secluded cabins in Wisconsin because I think they are the most authentic.

Whispering Pines on Lake Superior is a stunning contemporary home with 4+ acres of wooded privacy, 393 feet of Lake Superior shoreline, and a 60′ x 60′ L-shaped dock.

The home features a spacious open family room and dining area with an 18-foot high custom ceiling beam, a massive glass wall overlooking the lake, maple floors, skylights, and a loft floored with Wisconsin knotty pine.

The main kitchen is well-equipped with a new refrigerator, microwave, gas island range, dishwasher, Keurig and standard coffee makers, and endless cabinets.

The secluded property is surrounded by old-growth forests and wildlife, including bald eagles, deer, songbirds, and occasional bear and bobcat visits.

The large deck overlooks the lake and Basswood Island. What else can you wish from these unique cabins in Wisconsin?!

Do you want to pride yourself by staying at one of the most iconic cabins getaways in Wisconsin?

This spacious home in quiet North La Crosse is located near Rose St. hotel district, downtown, and Onalaska areas.

It features 3 bedrooms, 1+ bathroom, and 186 sq m of space. The home is a four-bedroom, four-bathroom contemporary with Scandinavian styling, formerly operated as a Bed & Breakfast.

The property is surrounded by old-growth forest and wildlife, with a large deck and gas grill. The vacation rental is a 1500 sq ft, walk-out apartment with a Southwest-facing patio, and the owner lives upstairs.

It was the personal residence of Civil War veteran, merchant, and patent medicine man Amos Claude Carter and his family.

The ornate structure was restored in 1986 and nominated to the National Registry of Historic Places.

The interior is furnished with an eclectic mix of comfortable and antique furnishings, including rare 1st Empire and Victorian bedroom suites.

The house is listed on the La Crosse historical walking tour and is considered the ‘bible’ of Victorian restorationists.

I think that these cool cabins in Wisconsin, together with this historic Carter house, make the Wisconsin accommodation landscape so diverse.

And let’s not let our furry friends behind and take a look at one of the most secluded pet-friendly cabins in Wisconsin.

This four-level cabin in the Northwoods offers a cozy atmosphere with warm wood floors and exposed beams.

The main level features a seating area, dining area, and well-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances.

Upstairs, there is a large table set for eight, an arcade-style Ms. Pacman game, and a full-sized fridge.

Two of the four bedrooms are on this level, while the top level has a seating area, two bunk beds, and a twin.

The bottom level features a movie screening room with seating for six and a giant flatscreen.

The wooden cabin is dog-friendly, with a gas grill, table seating, and a covered gazebo with a fire pit.

The house has docking access for boats and has new kitchen appliances and AC and since I love log cabin rentals in Wisconsin so much, I must say this is one of them.

The lakefront cottage is located near Pine Mountain for golfing and skiing, Florence County with acres of county and state-owned land, and nearby shops like Walmart and Home Depot.

10. Stunning Castle – Cleveland

Last but not least, this might be one of the best cabin rentals in Wisconsin.

The Castle Vineyard, an exclusive property offered by Wisconsin Getaways, is a stunning stone castle built over seven years.

The castle features a mahogany and glass front door, a piano room with a miniature baby grand piano, a dining room with wooden windows, and an open kitchen with Viking appliances and a stainless steel island.

The castle’s charm is complemented by a sailfish that was purchased at an Ernest Hemmingway auction in Florida and hung in the Kohler showroom until the store’s closure in the early 2000s.

The Castle Vineyard estate offers a relaxing office with original gas street lamps, water-pulley lights, and a combination lock safe.

The home theater room features a 12 seat setup and a Dolby 7.2.2 sound system. The main bedroom, private master loft, and basement bedroom offer comfortable accommodations.

The living room features a stone fireplace and 2.5 bathrooms, each with a unique experience.

The estate’s rustic and Tuscan castle aesthetics make it an ideal vacation destination and in my humble opinion, it’s one of the most perfect and unique places to stay in Wisconsin in Winter.
