Where to stay on Paros if you are a Party Animal
If you love celebrating and don’t want to miss a good party, then Naoussa is your place to stay in Paros. The village does not only lure you with its very scenic setting in a bay, but it’s also the most international and coveted beach resort on Paros.
Many travelers visit Naoussa at least once during their stay on Paros for (artisan) shopping or to have a romantic dinner in one of the countless taverns in the harbor.
During the summer, many festivities are celebrated, and sometimes, you might even be invited to join the celebrations.
From all the villages on Paros, Naoussa has one of the best-preserved and scenic historic town centers. White houses framed with pink bougainvilleas, narrow cobbled streets; you’ll find it all in Naoussa, Paros. Naoussa is also home to several quaint boutique hotels.
The best beaches near Naoussa are Kolymbithres, Monastery, and Agioi Anargyroi.

Where to stay on Paros for Hiking Holidays
The best place to stay in Paros for hiking holidays is definitely Lefkes. Not only is it one of the prettiest villages on the island, but due to its location in the center of the island, Lefkes is also the ideal departure point for many hikes.
Lefkes, the first capital of Paros, is surrounded by mountains and offers a breathtaking view of Naxos. The city center is one of the quaintest that you can find on Paros: narrow cobbled streets, traditional whitewashed houses, Venetian architecture, and bougainvilleas growing all over the roofs.
Did you know that Paros has more than 35 km of hiking trails? There are a large number of trails to choose and Lefkes is the departure point for the oldest trail on the island: the Byzantine Route.
One of my favorite places to hike in Paros was the peninsula near Monastiri Beach: Paros Park.
There are several trails, including one to the lighthouse and Monastiri beach is a well-kept secret among locals.
There are trails for every taste and difficulty level. You’ll explore traditional villages, old windmills, untouched countrysides, and hike along beaches. The choice is all and only yours!

Where to stay on Paros for Beach Holidays
Most visitors that travel to Paros come to the Cycladic islands to enjoy a relaxing beach holiday. Even when it comes to beaches, Paros has something to offer for every taste.
There are party beaches like Punda Beach but you can also find a lot of hidden bays and pristine, secluded beaches like in Santa Maria.
1. Golden Beach
Golden Beach is one of the most famous beaches in Paros. With its 700 m of golden sand, it’s popular among windsurfers and swimmers alike.
The beach is well connected to public transport and has all commodities like hotels, apartments, and restaurants closeby.

Crystal Clear Water in Paros
Aliki town has 3 beaches and has it all to spend your dream beach holidays. The first beach is located in the city center, with soft golden sand, shallow sea, and is also equipped with all facilities.
Towards the end of the resort, the beaches of Piso Aliki and Agios Nikolaos are a great place to stay in Paros if you’re looking for more remote, laid-back beach options.
Located at the west end and on a strip of coarse sand and pebbles, these beaches are never too crowded. Pine trees are providing shade.
When staying in Aliki, you should definitely taste the sun-dried octopus in one of the countless taverns. Some of them put their tables straight on the shore so that you’ll have lunch with your feet in the water.

3. Santa Maria
If you are looking for off-the-beaten-track and remote beaches, I recommend staying in Santa Maria, in the northern part of the island.
The coastline is divided into two golden sandy beaches, both with gorgeous views on the neighbor island Naxos. Water is particularly clear and thus perfect for snorkeling.
However, you should know that there’s a campsite located behind the beaches, which makes it a bit crowded in the summer months.
Best Places to Stay in Santa Maria
The scenic town of Naoussa is the perfect base to explore less crowded beaches like Kolymbithres, Agios Ioannis, Agioi Anargyroi, Piperi or Monastiri beach.
You can perfectly stay for a week in Naoussa and explore a new beach every day. Naoussa is also the perfect base to explore the natural park of Ai Yiannis Detis, packed with hiking trails and hidden bays.
In case you travel between June and September, you should attend the park’s annual festival including outdoor cinema films, events and moonlight concert. All this only a few meters away from the beach!

Where to stay on Paros for Watersports
Naoussa is again a great place to stay in Paros if you’re planning a more active holiday. Indeed, the town has a sailing club which offers lessons for adults and kids in laser, skiff boats and much more. Get more info on sailing in Paros here.
Naoussa is located close to the Park of Paros, and hosting a water ski school and SUP rental facilities, guaranteeing loads of action and fun during your holidays in Paros.

The Golden Beach is the hotspot for windsurfers. Several clubs are offering rental equipment and lessons. It’s one of Paros’ longest beaches and is famous for its windy conditions.
However, you’re not limited to take only windsurf lessons. Most clubs also rent SUP boards, tubes, kayak, kitesurf and much more.

Where to stay on Paros for the Undecided
For those who want the perfect mix between hiking, beach holidays and lively evenings out, I recommend staying in Parikia, the capital of Paros.
As many travelers just see the town as arrival or departure harbor for ferries, Parikia preserved a certain authentic character and lures with whitewashed houses and churches.
Many hotels in Parikia are still family-owned.
Livadia, the main beach of the capital, is only 5 minutes walk away from the city center. My favorite restaurant, Coralli, serves the best seafood and Greek specialties at very affordable prices and great service. The terrace is located just next to Livadia beach.
Parikia was my base during my holidays in Paros and I couldn’t be happier with my choice.
Scooter and car rental facilities are all in walking distance, public transport would bring me to almost any beach on the island and I finished all my days with long walks in the beautiful ancient town center.

Design and Wellness
If you’re looking for a more sophisticated, but touristy place to stay in Paros, which is still close to most attractions, Naoussa is the best option.
It comes with a more “elegant”, but also more crowded touch than Parikia and has by far more dining and leisure options.
Naoussa town center is packed with art galleries and artisan jewelry shops. Most discos and clubs on Paros are located in Naoussa. Thus, it’s perfect if you want to enjoy a long night out.
To sum up, the atmosphere in Naoussa can be easily compared to Mykonos.

Where to stay on Paros for Luxury Hotels
In the last years, plenty of new luxury hotels and 5-star hotels opened their doors in Paros. That means that if you are looking to indulge in luxury and enjoy an exclusive experience, there are plenty of 5-star hotels in Paros to choose from.
Most of them enjoy a more remote location, in order to assure that you can absolutely unwind and disconnect. They are spread out throughout the island, but most luxury hotels in Paros can be found next to Parikia, the capital of Paros.
My favorite part about luxury hotels in Paros is the refined mix of boutique-style, Greek architecture, and hospitality. They really know how to make you feel like a queen…or a king!
